"I’m gonna tear you apart……into tiny little pieces. You’re gonna need the entire forensics team to identify you."

Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, and Topher Grace headline the 2025 action-comedy Flight Risk, delivering a film that's fun, engaging, and packed with adrenaline. We had the chance to see an early preview two days before the official release, and it exceeded our modest expectations. While the movie has its share of flaws, the humor, action, and performances make it an entertaining watch for those willing to overlook its more implausible elements.

The story centers around an ordinary passenger, played by Wahlberg, who is thrust into the role of unlikely hero when chaos breaks out mid-flight. Dockery shines as a resourceful flight attendant who balances calm professionalism with a dash of sass, while Grace offers comic relief as a tech-savvy passenger caught in the whirlwind of events. The chemistry among the cast helps to elevate the film, keeping viewers invested even during its more far-fetched moments.

One of Flight Risk’s biggest strengths is its blend of comedy and action. Wahlberg leans into his everyman charisma, delivering laughs and pulling off high-stakes stunts with ease. The film has some genuinely funny moments, and the pacing keeps the energy up, rarely giving the audience a chance to feel bored.

However, the movie isn’t without its issues. A particularly glaring flaw comes early in the film when characters on the plane communicate perfectly without headsets in a noisy cabin—an oversight that's as distracting as it is laughable. Additionally, the number of near-crash scenarios where Wahlberg’s character, a non-pilot, manages to keep the plane aloft stretches believability to its limit. It’s best to approach these moments with a suspension of disbelief, or you might find yourself rolling your eyes instead of enjoying the ride.

Despite these missteps, Flight Risk is undeniably entertaining. The film doesn’t aim for realism or technical accuracy, instead opting for high-energy fun that will appeal to fans of lighthearted action movies. It’s a movie where you can turn your brain off and simply enjoy the chaos unfolding on screen.

For those looking for a thrilling, humorous film with solid performances, Flight Risk is worth a watch—just don’t scrutinize the details too closely. While it may not soar to the heights of cinematic greatness, it lands firmly in the “fun for a night out” category.
